Whistling Pines Gun Club West was designed from the ground up to be a modern, open, and appealing place to learn, shoot, and socialize. Our west location was designed for a more social experience. We have a comfortable lounge area and the Tioli (Take it or Leave it) Cafe which on certain days is supplied with catered food.
Bring your friends, shoot with the most modern target retrieval system on the market today, and then enjoy the food and drink either in the lounge or on our expansive covered deck with a spectacular view of Pikes Peak. We have social events during the Spring, Summer, and Fall so members can meet and socialize with each other. You can also rent out the club area for special events. Check out our Events page for more information.
Each range is equipped with a state of the art air filtration system, which brings fresh air into the range from the roof, warmed in the winter and cooled in the summer. Every molecule of air brought into the range behind the shooting line is flushed out within 90 seconds, and then HEPA-filters (high-efficiency particulate absorption) remove lead dust, pollen, bacteria, and ordinary dust before being pushed outdoors.
Air is never recycled through the range. The net result is that there is no lead dust in the air at the shooting line. In spite of the enormous quantity of air moving through the range, there’s no wind to make your targets flap or wave.
At the Whistling Pines Gun Club recycling is a key component of our commitment to a cleaner club. Bullets enter a large deceleration chamber, lose their momentum by spinning around and around, and drop into five-gallon plastic buckets, which are emptied twice weekly for recycling. The club recycles over a ton and a half of lead every month, along with over 700 pounds of brass.
